You could be sure that if you died tonight you would go to heaven. But first you must realize that all sinners are destined to go to hell. And that any sin no matter how small will keep you from going to Heaven. Fortunately Christ has already paid the price. But only if you believe and accept him.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short ofthe glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Inspite of what the world has taught us, we are not all Gods children. Not until we receive him.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

How did people in the New Testament times get saved? In this story the Apostle Paul and Silas were jailed for preaching the Gospel.

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
Acts 16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
Acts 16:28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do tobe saved?
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Salvation isn't something that you can earn, like for example going to church and giving to the poor. Though those things are good and important. It means trusting Christ and surrendering your life, along with your sorrows to him. Asking forgiveness for sins. It's a free gift from God!

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Kneel down now, and taste that the Lord is good.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

"Whosoever" means you too!
